Just the other day, my wife and I were in a hurry to get to my eye appointment. Once we arrived, the waiting room became our home for a little over the next two hours. Finally, my name was called to go in the back for the doctor to see me. As I sat, I looked down and noticed a problem………….I was in such a hurry that morning that I actually had put a sock on inside out.
It may not seem like a big deal to some, however, I truly did not “FEEL” a difference when wearing it the wrong way. Immediately, I started to reflect on who I am. I asked myself, “How do I respond to others and how do I respond to God.” I did not notice the sock was inside out. I could not tell the difference from one side to the other. I believe it’s important for us to do the same in our lives. Are we reflecting God’s love inwardly and outwardly in a balance? To be honest, sometimes I am more patient with God more than I am with people. This is simply can not be. God did not love Jesus and abandon all men. Nor did God abandon Jesus and just love mankind. There is a perfect balance in God’s love.
This week, I challenge you to evaluate your personal walk with Christ (inside) and if you’re reflecting it to others (outside).
